Listening for the Divine in the Spaciousness of Delight

Spiritual Direction

Spiritual Direction is a form of sacred and attentive listening that holds space for an individual to encounter divine hospitality within their own experiences.

“God brought me into a spacious place because God delighted in me.” ~ Psalm 18:19

As a Spiritual Director, it is my joy to listen to—and reflect upon—the details shared with me through contemplation and curiosity. I am convinced God’s delight is to provide spacious places for encountering limitless love in the lives of each person who carries the blessing of the divine image.

Spiritual Direction Offerings

  • Individual Direction

Individual Spiritual Direction traditionally consists of the director and directee meeting once a month for an hour.

Individual direction is $125/hour, however I am on staff at The Center for Hope and Healing at Woodmont Christian Church and Woodmont generously pays the difference between what a person can pay and my hourly rate.

I offer direction in office space at Woodmont Christian Church, Glendale United Methodist, or by going on walks at Radnor Lake, the Ellington Agricultural Center, or Warner Parks. Virtual meetings are also an option if you are live outside of Nashville or cannot meet in person.

  • Ignatian Retreats

12 Week Ignatian Prayer Retreat in Daily Life Practice

I offer a twelve week retreat in Daily Life Ignatian retreat using Joseph Tetlow’s Finding Christ in the World as a prayerful guide. Tetlow describes this way of retreat as a “conversion of heart from a tight focus on one’s self to a graced focus on God–with–us.”

Retreatants are invited to spend an hour a week receiving direction in-person in my office in Crieve Hall or going for a walk in the Agricultural Center. If there is interest from outside of Nashville we can meet virtually.

The cost of the retreat is $65 per session. Email if you are interested in joining or learning more. A sliding scale is available upon request.
